One of L.A.’s most pressing challenges calls for close cooperation between every organization that can pitch in to help.
MFLA is an active partner in Home for Good, a cross-sector initiative seeking an end to homelessness in this city. Like the Fund itself, Home for Good works at the intersection of philanthropy and the public sector, coordinating resources and responses. Key partners include the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Veteran homelessness is another concern Home for Good addresses, and through the Homes for Heroes program, MFLA has extended additional support to 500 former service members as they come off the streets.
In the same way, MFLA’s support for the Mayor’s Welcome Home Project provides much-needed supplies to formerly homeless people as they move into permanent supportive housing. We’ve partnered with L.A. businesses and dedicated volunteers to make the Welcome Home Project a success.
