
Sarah Ali
Sarah Ali is a respected leader in philanthropy, impact strategy, and education with more than 22 years of experience supporting student success and economic mobility. She serves as the Managing Director of the R&S Kayne Foundation, where she leads investments in education, economic empowerment, arts, and community health initiatives. She was instrumental in designing and launching the Kayne Scholars program (now Evolve Fellows), which provides mentorship, career readiness training, and financial support for first-generation college students.
Her career has spanned leadership roles at Camino Nuevo Charter Academy and Aspire Public Schools, where she worked to strengthen K-12 education and increased postsecondary participation. She has also served as Board Chair and Interim Executive Director for the Snap Foundation, which funds pathways to the creative economy. Previous governance and leadership roles also include holding positions as Board Secretary for the SEED School of Los Angeles and an Advisory Committee member for the Los Angeles Postsecondary Funders Collaborative.
Ms. Ali remains deeply engaged in the community and philanthropy, serving on the boards of Dreamhaus and Crenshaw Dairy Mart, two nonprofits providing arts and community programming. As an alumna of Loyola Marymount University, she is an active member of the Board of Visitors for the School of Education and holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from the university.
