The Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, making your donation tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
In December 2023, the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles adopted reforms to its contribution acceptance policy that mirror the rules governing city candidate campaigns. Under the updated policy, the Fund does not accept donations from registered city lobbyists, from restricted developers or from those seeking to do business with the city unless the development or request is ancillary to their primary business. In addition, the Mayor’s Fund does not accept anonymous contributions if we are aware of the actual source of the funds. These reforms reflect the Fund’s commitment to the highest ethical standards as it works to prevent homelessness and address other critical issues facing Los Angeles.
